Energy
saving bulb
Did you know that an energy
saving bulb uses 5 times
less energy compared to an
ordinary light bulb. What’s
more, it also lasts 10 times
longer!
Office paper
Also in our office we can
contribute. Each day huge
quantities of paper are printed
unnecessarily. If only we started
printing and copying on both sides instead
of one. This would make a huge
difference.
Here are some
extra helpful tips:
- Avoid printing on the wrong
type of paper
- Avoid printing on the wrong size
of paper Realize the energy you
need to print
one A4
sheet is the same as
burning a
60 watt lamp
for 80 minutes.
PET water bottles Your environment
It takes 160ml of oil and 5 liters of
cooling water to produce one 1ltr
PET bottle. Europe uses 30 billion PET water
bottles each year. This is the same amount of oil used
to drive one million cars in one year.
Your health
PET water bottles are often used
as drinking bottles but never
cleaned properly.
Bacteria lurks in the rim of the
bottle. When you refill the bottle
without washing it, you flush the
bacteria back into your drink. Stainless steel is dishwasher safe!
Solar
Solar energy comes directly
from the sun. This form of energy
is the climate and weather
and supports virtually all life on
Earth.
Heat and light from the sun, along with
solarbased resources such as wind
and wave power and hydroelectricity,
account for most of the available flow
of reable energy Solar energy
technologies harness the sun’s energy
for practical ends.
These technologies
date from the time of the early Greeks,
Native Americans and Chinese, who
warmed their buildings by orienting
them toward the sun. Solar power
items are a modern way to save energy
consumption by prolonging and
recharge batteries direct from the light
of the sun. People used this power for
thousands of years – you should try as
well!
